Some writing

So recently i have found myself writing a whole lot more and decided to share some bits and pieces of it with the Internets so without further adieu, a little nugget of a short story.

Lies, the dust that covers ourselves. Thin at first but if left unchecked it can blacken out our souls in a maw and tangle that can push our truths so deep and so far out of our grasp that we may never know them again. This warning is something that young Sam never knew. Sam loved lies. So much so that he crafted a new life for himself with nearly every person young Sam came to meet. Perhaps he believed his own lies, or perhaps he believed his truths too shallow for the Sam that he wanted to be.

And so it began. Sam awoke on a cold Chicago morning to the man that would change his life, or rather the anomaly that chose to embody a man. Shocked Sam lay motionless on his bare mattress, staring at the tall dark figure looming over him.
“Hello Sam” the man said easily.
“I think its time you awoke now.” He paused as to wait for Sam's reply.
“Who are you? how did you get in here?” Sam yelled out, now sitting up.
“Sam, that is far beyond whats important.” The man held his hand out and awaited for Sam to reach.
“Its time to get up” The man said nodding. So without thought Sam grabbed the mans hand and propped himself out of bed. Sam felt a sudden comfort overcome him, so powerful that he could feel a trust for the strange man. The two stood for a moment in the chilly apartment. Although wallpaper peeled in the corners and the lights in the restroom flickered Sam's apartment was quite the quaint place. Piles of records lined the walls and a collection of old phonographs sat on various counter tops. Sam obviously never cleaned much but he certainly didn't make a mess either, much like Sam himself.

I thank anyone out there that may of read the whole thing and i am very looking for constructive criticism and corrections to my awful grammar

Cheers!
